A family story
By your side, now as then
Every corner of our hotel in the Italian Alps tells a story of our dedication, commitment, and love for hospitality.
It all began in Arabba many years ago, on the ruins of an old mill that belonged to Vito Lezuo, a true man of the mountains, born in 1914. As a young man, Vito worked in local hotels during the summer, and as a ski instructor in the winter. But he dreamed of having somewhere of his own, a place to welcome those who visit the mountains in search of beauty and tranquility.
So, during the 1950s, he decided to renovate the family mill and turn it into a small guesthouse. Thanks to his spirit of enterprise, and with support from his wife Maria, the Pensione Evaldo was opened in 1957
The Lenzuo family then expanded with the arrival of his son, Evaldo. And the guesthouse also grew over time, along with the affection of its guests. More rooms were added, the interior was refurbished, but the guiding spirit remained the same: that of always offering a heartfelt welcome.
When he grew up, Evaldo together with his wife Stefania chose to carry on the tradition, passing it down to their son Michael, who trained in the world of tourism and studied in both Italy and Germany.
In 2001, a major change took place; the hotel expanded, with the addition of some new rooms and a stylish wellness center with swimming pool and sauna area.
In 2004, Michael married Cristina, who had come to work as a secretary at the Hotel Evaldo in December 1993. They had two daughters, Aurora and Chiara.
Sadly, Stefania passed away in 2017, following a short illness. But thanks to her example and her valuable teachings, Michael and Cristina, with support from Evaldo, continue to run the hotel in the same spirit, welcoming guests with the warmth and care of those for whom hospitality is a true vocation.
This year (2025), while Aurora and Chiara are still busy with their studies, another important renovation project is underway: the restoration of the attic and the addition of more rooms.
